Our client, a successful Australian Gold and Copper resources company, is looking for a Senior Exploration Geologist to join their team at one of their Western Australian gold operations.
- 5+ years experience in a similar role;
- Tertiary qualifications in Geology;
- An aptitude for exploration concepts and techniques;
- Skilled in mining and GIS software, preferably, Mapinfo, Leapfrog and Surpac and with exposure to exploration geostatistical packages;
- An understanding of the gold and copper resources
Position Duties:
- Being able to mentor and coach Exploration Geologists to deliver quality interpretations that inform the quarterly resource updates;
- Complete all tasks in accordance with all relevant safety instructions, procedures and rules, and the Duty of care for employees as legislated;
- Identification of new targets to feed the exploration pipeline of Resources and Reserves;
- Continual development of 3D geological models
- Good understanding of drilling methods including timely and accurate collation of geological data (including QAQC) and reports
