Requirements;
- Degree in Geology
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate to achieve results.
- Demonstrated ability with regional mapping, structural geology, geochemistry, drilling and sampling techniques
- Computer Literacy – Microsoft Office, GIS (Mapinfo or QGIS)
- Exposure to mining software such as Surpac or Leapfrog (Desirable)
Position Duties:
- Collect, validate and manage geological data from field mapping, surface geochemistry and
drilling programs; - Assist with the ore-type characterization modelling and geological mapping within the mine area;
- Logging of RC drilling samples and diamond drill core;
- Assist with water exploration and production bore drilling programs;
- Manage remote exploration campaigns in regional camps;
- Data collection, validation and analysis;
- Supervision of field assistants and assist Field Manager with coordination of field logistic;
- Communicate with key internal and external stakeholders in the execution of all exploration
programs; - Support the Exploration Manager with statutory reporting, technical and operational reports as required.
