Our client, a well-regarded ASX-listed gold producer, is seeking an experienced Underground Production Engineer to join their team in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields region.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering;
- Proven strong drill and blast experience;
- Be team-orientated with strong communication skills;
- Ability to mentor and develop the capability of Graduate Engineers;
- Previous exposure to Mining software Deswik CAD - highly desirable.
Position Duties:
- Assist the Senior Mining Engineer with the preparation of short and medium-term plans and forecasts;
- Development and implementation of weekly and monthly production and development plans;
- Liaise and coordinate with the operational and technical teams for short-term schedule implementation;
- Develop drill and blast designs that maximise ore extraction and minimise dilution;
- Contribute to continuous improvement of dilution and recovery in stopes through design optimization;
- Raise issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in a professional manner in line with the Goldfields values.
