Our client, a copper focused base and precious metals mining company is seeking an Underground Production Engineer to join their team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering;
- Strong understanding of longhole stoping;
- Exposure with production drill rigs and their capabilities;
- Knowledge of modern underground charging and firing practices.
Position Duties:
- Production stope designs and document control relating to drilling, charging and firings;
- Design and issue drill and charge plans ensuring they are practicable based on rig specifications;
- Update charge and drill plans, and maintain dynamically updated digital plans;
- Monitor production drilling progress and performance;
- Close liaison with underground operations supervisors and drilling, charging and firing teams;
- End of month reporting of physicals ensuring all tracking spreadsheets are up to date at EOM;
- Collection, preparation, testing and reporting of CHF samples.
