Our client, a gold mining and exploration based in the Eastern Goldfields is seeking an Alternate Underground Manager to join their Technical Services Department. Reporting to the Underground Manager to their high grade operation, you will play a pivotable part of the operations of a narrow vein, high grade ore body underground operation. 

Requirements:

  • Mining Engineering Degree;
  • WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate;
  • Experience in narrow vein, high grade orebodies.

Position Duties:

  • Ensuring all U/G operations are carried out with a safety-first focus;
  • Providing management and day to day leadership of the U/G operations, including scheduling, design, ventilation, dewatering, D&B, and L&H;
  • Leading a small, but highly capable technical services team including Mining Engineers, Geologists, and Surveyors;
  • With the Underground Manager, develop the long-term plans and annual budgets for the mine
Experience
15+ years practical underground production and planning experience in hard rock underground mines
