One of our underground gold producers are currently seeking an Alternate Underground Manager to join the Technical Services Department. Supporting across both planning and production for the mining operation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering;
  • Previous exposure with narrow vein underground gold mining;
  • First Class Mine Managers Certificate;
  • Competent using Datamine, VentSim software or similar.

Position Duties:

  • Ensure all planning and production tasks for the underground mine are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the plan;
  • Management of day-to-day production activities;
  • Develop mine plans and schedules ranging from short term through to 3-Month and Life-of-Mine time horizons;
  • Oversee the development and implementation of stoping designs;
  • Review and improve standard processes and systems for mine planning and production;
  • Ensure Contractor performance is in line with the contract and mine plan;
  • Identify and complete mine infrastructure and optimisation projects as required;
  • End of Month reporting;
  • Prepare annual budgets and monitor ongoing cost against approved budget;
  • Ensure operating procedures remain fully aligned with effective risk management practices under the WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
