TP17827- Alternate Underground Manager | Mining Employment Services

One of our underground gold producers are currently seeking an Alternate Underground Manager to join the Technical Services Department. Supporting across both planning and production for the mining operation.

Requirements:

Degree in Mining Engineering;
Previous exposure with narrow vein underground gold mining;
First Class Mine Managers Certificate;
Competent using Datamine, VentSim software or similar.

Position Duties:

Ensure all planning and production tasks for the underground mine are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the plan;
Management of day-to-day production activities;
Develop mine plans and schedules ranging from short term through to 3-Month and Life-of-Mine time horizons;
Oversee the development and implementation of stoping designs;
Review and improve standard processes and systems for mine planning and production;
Ensure Contractor performance is in line with the contract and mine plan;
Identify and complete mine infrastructure and optimisation projects as required;
End of Month reporting;
Prepare annual budgets and monitor ongoing cost against approved budget;
Ensure operating procedures remain fully aligned with effective risk management practices under the WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
