Our Client is a privately-owned resource investment company focused on the Gold sector. They are currently looking for an experienced Geology Manager to come on board and oversee the Geology department.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Geology
- Proven experience and understanding of Surpac, Datamine, or similar mining software package
- Demonstrated skills in mine geology, resource and grade control estimation, and extensional exploration
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, with a track record of delivering continuous improvement
- Ability to work with a diverse range of people and cultures, and build a cross-discipline relationship
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Position Duties:
- Overseeing all mining geology activities including contractors to ensure operational targets are being achieved to agreed
- Ensure ongoing development of geological models and understanding of mine, resource and regional scale geology
- Planning and execution of grade control drilling and QAQC of drilling and laboratory functions
- Ongoing training and development of staff
Experience
10 years experience in a gold operation at senior level
