Our Client is currently seeking to employ a Mine Geologist to join the team at their new open-pit mine. You will be reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist and working as part of a small hard-working team of mine geologists and Pit Technicians.
Requirements:
Degree Majoring in Geology; Masters Degree is preferred, but not essential
Experience in using 3D mining software packages including wireframing and block modelling
Position Duties:
- Daily grade control drilling, sampling and interpretation
- Open pit mapping and interpretation
- Supervising ore mining and reconciling production to grade control and reserve models
- Developing an understanding of the geological controls of the deposit and identifying opportunities for resource extensions
Experience
2-5 years in a similar mining-based role
