Our client is an established producer of premium quality iron ore, with assets in the Kimberley and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
They currently require an Open Pit Mine Geologist for an upcoming position at their flagship operation.
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Geology;
- C Class Driver’s license;
- Proficiency in Excel and Surpac desirable;
- Good communication skills, written and oral, are essential;
- Ability to work in a team-focused environment;
- Australian working rights.
Position Duties:
- Accurate data collection including sampling, logging and mapping;
- Monitor ore extraction process, including Ore Spotting;
- Assist with ongoing planning, production and reconciliation;
- Oversee short term blending and stockpiling requirements;
- Daily and weekly reporting.
Experience
Minimum of one years’ experience in an operating mine (open pit preferred).
