A thriving Western Australian gold miner is seeking an Underground Planning Engineer to join their growing team!
This will be working for a high-performing and established gold mining company on one of their gold operations in Western Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a complex underground mining operation utilising block-cave mining, with a newly released 12-month strategic plan.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Mining Engineering or similar;
- Current unrestricted “C” Class WA Manual Drivers Licence;
- Able to obtain NPC clearance;
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
- Exposure to Surpac and or equivalent software design packages is desirable;
- Competent user of Deswik mine planning software (Desirable).
Position Duties:
- Underground designs and schedules from weekly to quarterly;
- Ensuring drill and blast planning is maintained in advance;
- Development of short and medium mine plans;
- Assistance with the development of life of mine plans and development of operational budgets;
- High-level communication with technical service divisions to ensure effective execution of mine plans.
