A thriving Western Australian gold miner is seeking an Underground Planning Engineer to join their growing team! 

This will be working for a high-performing and established gold mining company on one of their gold operations in Western Australia. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a complex underground mining operation utilising block-cave mining, with a newly released 12-month strategic plan.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Mining Engineering or similar;
  • Current unrestricted “C” Class WA Manual Drivers Licence;
  • Able to obtain NPC clearance;
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Exposure to Surpac and or equivalent software design packages is desirable;
  • Competent user of Deswik mine planning software (Desirable).

Position Duties:

  • Underground designs and schedules from weekly to quarterly;
  • Ensuring drill and blast planning is maintained in advance;
  • Development of short and medium mine plans;
  • Assistance with the development of life of mine plans and development of operational budgets;
  • High-level communication with technical service divisions to ensure effective execution of mine plans.
