Our client is an established producer of premium quality iron ore, with assets in the Kimberley and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
They currently require an Open Pit Mining Engineer for an upcoming position at their flagship operation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Mining Engineering or similar;
- Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers License;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Exposure to mining software (preferably Surpac, Xecute, Alastri, etc.).
Position Duties:
- Drill and blast design coordinating the drill and blast schedules to achieve production and dilution control outcomes;
- Development of daily production plans and the two-week mine plan;
- Prepare open pit designs, including waste dumps, haul roads and stockpiles;
- Provide highly accurate data entry, validation, and technical analysis;
- Monitor and reconcile daily activities and production against the daily and weekly plans;
Experience
At least 1 years experience working in a similar role.
