Our client, a successful Western Australian multi-operational mineral resource company, requires a Senior Mining Engineer to work on their owner-operator underground mine in the goldfields.
Fantastic opportunity to step up from a planning/production role into a Senior position.
Requirements:
- Tertiary level Mining Engineering degree;
- First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency;
- Western Australian 'C' Class Drivers License;
- Exposure to Surpac or equivalent software design packages;
- Proficient using Deswik;
- Competence to lead the underground team in production, ventilation, planning, and scheduling activities.
Position Duties:
- Develop schedules and short-term mine plans for underground operation;
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting against budget;
- Review drill & blast designs, liaising with mining personnel to ensure mine plans are executed efficiently and safely;
- Mentor Junior Engineers.
Experience
Senior level experience in UG mining engineering desirable but not essential.
