Our Client is a leading, growth-focused Australian gold miner with five wholly-owned mines.
They are seeking an experienced Exploration Geologist for one of their exciting projects.
Requirements:
- C Class license
- Police Clearance
- Tertiary Qualification in Geology
- Knowledge of gold deposit geology.
- Knowledge of exploration standards and regulations.
Position Duties:
- Drill rig supervision experience.
- Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations and legal requirements (e.g. Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994, Mines Safety and Inspection regulations 1995, Environmental Protection Act and Regulations (WA), etc.).
- Fundamental skills in geological interpretation using cross sections and plans and navigating in a 3D workspace.
- Working knowledge of commonly used mining & GIS software (MicroMine, ArcGIS, Acquire, Leapfrog).
- Digital logging to databases (Acquire/Datashed/Access etc).
- Understanding of economic ore deposits, geochemistry and structural geology.
- Develop and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel through identification, correction and reporting of hazards and implementation of safe work systems.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace and increase safety awareness, implement safety training and set an example for others.
