Our blue-chip client has an exciting opportunity for a GIS Specialist to join their Perth team.
This is a unique opportunity to provide GIS expertise across the entire business and across multiple project phases including Exploration, Planning and Approvals, Construction, Operation and Closure.
Requirements/Key Attributes:
Highly organised and extremely competent in particular with management of version and document control;
Sound knowledge & exposure using ArcGIS software;
Excellent interpersonal and communications skill;
Open to mentoring other staff members on ArcGIS, data management and best practice.
Position Duties:
- Data Management, Ground Disturbance Permitting (GDP) Systems and application;
- Environmental or other approvals maps to support approvals documentation. For example Mining Proposals, EPA and EPBC Referral submissions;
- Creation of Work/Tender Packages to support construction, Coordination of construction and operational incoming and outgoing data;
- General Spatial data management to support multiple internal stakeholders for all project life stage.
Experience
5+ years experience working in a similar role with ideally a background in iron ore mining.
